Physical properties
It is yellow wish gray powder or granule, Specific gravity 1.41-1.40. It is soluble in carbon disulfide/trichoromethane and carbon tetrachloride and insoluble in water. It has no-odor and notoxicity. Stable for Storage.
Function
Used for natural rubber, ethylene propylene rubber, neoprene rubber, styrene-butadiene rubber, butyl rubber, nitrile rubber, isoprene rubber, chlorosulfonated polyethylene rubber promoters, heating decomposition can produce free sulfur, can also be vulcanized agent, effective sulfur content of 25 % of its weight. This product can also be used for latex. As a vulcanizing agent, the operation safety is good, vulcanizate heat resistance, aging resistance is good.
This product can be used as the main promoter in chlorosulfonated polyethylene rubber, styrene-butadiene rubber and butyl rubber. When combined with thiazole accelerators, it is especially suitable for nitrile butadiene rubber, whose vulcanizate has good compression deformation and heat resistance. When making latex sponge, use it with accelerator MZ.
